Lancaster Continues Tradition of Modified Racing; '24 Stock Car Schedule to Be Released Mid-November
LANCASTER, N.Y. (October 30, 2023) – The slogan for the upcoming 2024 season at Lancaster Motorplex is “Old Traditions, New Memories”. The 2024 season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in the 60 + year history of the facility.
Lancaster Motorplex management is pleased to announce that the tour-type modifieds will be a fixture on the upcoming season schedule. “Our track has a long and proud history of Modified racing and we at Lancaster Motorplex are committed to continuing and adding to these traditions,” comments track owner Scott Nurmi. “We are proud to announce that the Lancaster Tour Type Modified division will be returning to our schedule along with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race and Race of Champions (RoC) Modified Series events,” Nurmi added.
The 2024 Lancaster Motorplex stock car schedule will be released on November 16, 2023, just prior to the start of the Northeast Racing Products Auction and Trade Show. Two dates have already been released for the upcoming 2024 season, with the return of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Saturday, August 3, and the inaugural visit by the Must See Racing Sprint Cars on Saturday, June 1.
Lancaster Motorplex will close the books on the 2023 season for the stock car program on Saturday, December 2 with the Stock Car Awards Banquet at the Lancaster Elks Club, 33 Legion Way. Cocktails will begin at 6pm, featuring an open bar with pop, beer, mixed drinks, and wine. Dinner will be served at 7pm catered by Jocko’s, and the awards ceremony to follow dinner at approximately 8pm.The registration/reservation form is now available by clicking on the Driver Info tab, under the speedway section of www.lancastermotorplexny.com Tickets are $50 and those 21 and under are $25.
