35th Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak Canceled Due to Forecasted Inclement Weather
LANCASTER, N.Y. (October 11, 2024) – Lancaster Motorplex and Race of Champions management have agreed to cancel the 35th Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak scheduled for Sunday, October 13. The forecast shows inclement weather over an extended period in Western New York forced the cancelation of the event.
The rainout was the fourth of the season at Lancaster in 2024.
The 65th Anniversary season of Lancaster Motorplex will officially come to a conclusion on Saturday, November 9 with the awards banquet, taking place at the Lancaster Elks Club. Cocktail hour will begin at 6pm, with dinner being served at 7pm, and the awards will follow at 8pm. Dinner will be catered by Jockos. The top 10 drivers in the 4 Cylinders, Monroe Extinguisher Street Stocks, and the Insinger Performance/VP Race Fuels Sportsman will each get one ticket free to be used by them at the banquet. The registration form is available on the website, www.lancastermotorplexny.com Tickets are $50 each, and $30 for those under the age of 21.
